What is your eligibility criteria?
You can only apply if you are doing so via one of the invited Medical Schools. All eligibility criteria and restrictions for Medical School applications can be found under in the Applying for Funding section.

Can invited Medical Schools submit applications for funding after 31 March?
No, extensions cannot be given on the closing date and we do not accept or process applications between 1 April and 30 November.

Do you accept applications from non UK citizen?
No, the Foundation only accepts applications from UK citizens.

When can invited Medical Schools apply to the foundation for a grant?
The Foundation accepts applications between 1 December and 31 March.

Can applications be submitted by email?
No, we only accept applications via our online application process.

Where can the application form be found?
If you are applying via one of the four pre-selected Medical Schools please contact them directly as they have in-house shortlisting and then submit on behalf of their students. DO NOT apply independently; your application will not be considered.

Who are the pre-selected Medical Schools?
They are the University of Liverpool, University College London, Peninsula School of Medicine & Dentistry and the University of Nottingham.

Can I apply for funding for Medical studies if I am not from one of the above pre-selected institutions?
No, this is not possible.

Can a grant recipient receive more than one grant?
Yes, Medical School individual applicants can apply to the Foundation irrespective of whether they have received a grant before. Every year the application process starts afresh so in the case of those who were successful in the grant process one year they are by no means guaranteed repeat funding.

I am a grant recipient, when is my progress report due?
The Foundation will contact you in March by email attaching a progress report form. This should be completed and returned to the Foundation by email before 30 April.
